If you give regularly to charity, you’ll know how Gift Aid works. It’s a scheme enabling registered charities to reclaim tax on a donation made by a UK taxpayer, effectively increasing the value of a donation to a given charity by 25% – at no cost to the donor themselves.
Mend Our Mountains: Make One Million is an appeal run by the BMC Access and Conservation Trust (ACT). ACT is a charity registered in England and Wales (no 1089516) so is eligible for Gift Aid.
If you donate to Mend Our Mountains: Make One Million through the portals on this website (such as this one), you will be sent an automatically generated follow-up email which confirms receipt of your donation and includes a link to a Gift Aid declaration form for you to fill in and send back to us. Please take the extra time to do this as it the extra 25% will be hugely valuable for the appeal.
Unfortunately we are currently experiencing technical difficulties in creating a more streamlined function for people to include Gift Aid at the point where they donate, but this is being worked on and will be live by mid April.
If you have already made a donation to this appeal but have not added Gift Aid, it is not too late to do so. Please download a copy of the Gift Aid declaration form by clicking here, and email it to the Mend Our Mountains team at this email address.
Many thanks in advance for your generosity.
